Katie Eckert serves as vice president of strategic analytics for the Maryland Hospital Association, leading the creation of actionable analytics to advance MHA’s advocacy, care transformation, and improvement efforts for Maryland’s hospitals and health systems.
With more than a decade of experience in health care, Katie joined MHA as vice president of health care payment in 2019 from Bon Secours Mercy Health, where she served as chief financial officer, post-acute services and led financial operations for the Atlantic Group. There she oversaw $100 million in operating revenues for services at 13 agencies/facilities across five states and led expense control and other initiatives.
She previously served as Bon Secours’ director of operations/finance and director of budget and reimbursement, including a stint as interim CFO at Bon Secours Baltimore Health System.
Katie is a board member of the Maryland chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and serves on the finance committee of Health Care for the Homeless.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and information assurance from the University of Maryland, College Park, holds an active certified public accountant license in Maryland, and is a Health Care Financial Management Association fellow.
