WEEKLY MESSAGE FROM MHA

What We’re Thankful For

November 23, 2020 By: Bob Atlas, President & CEO

Thanksgiving this year will look much different for many of us. No traditional dinner with extended family. No visits from in-laws and friends, and tough decisions about how to safely welcome home college-age children.

In a challenging year and at a particularly fraught time for your hospitals—with COVID cases spiking and Gov. Larry Hogan’s tragic pronouncement that the virus is “winning”—we remain thankful.

Thankful for our incredible workforce, so capably seeing us through this crisis. Thankful for our families and friends. And thankful for the continued support of Marylanders, who since the outset of the pandemic have cheered on hospital health care heroes, offered food and donations, and even shared their own precious protective gear.

To thank our communities for their support on your behalf, MHA is sharing the video that accompanies this message with your teams and with the public.

During this Thanksgiving season, MHA is particularly grateful for you and your dedicated teams. You led our state through the first phase of this crisis, and once again you’re doing all you can to keep us safe and save lives.

We thank you.
