Traci La Valle is Senior Vice President, Quality & Health Improvement. In this role, she provides leadership, strategic direction and management in the development, articulation and advocacy of association positions related to value based payment policy, behavioral health and population health.
Traci is also responsible for supporting efforts by hospitals and other stakeholders to enhance access to coordinated and comprehensive behavioral health care in Maryland and hospitals’ transformation of care delivery more broadly. Additionally, she leads the association’s strategy to address inequities in health.
In her fifteen years at MHA, she has held progressively responsible roles covering a range of policies that affect Maryland’s hospitals’ finances, most recently focusing on value-based and population-based payment policies. Traci has a Master of Public Health and a Certificate in Health Finance and Management from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Temple University.
