Brian Frazee serves as vice president of government affairs for the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA). In this capacity, he leads advocacy efforts on behalf of Maryland’s hospitals and health systems at the local, state, and federal level.
Prior to joining MHA in 2015, Brian served as Director of Public Policy for the Maryland Association of Community Services, an association of over 100 nonprofit providers supporting people with developmental disabilities. He also served as an Associate with Capitol Strategies, a government affairs firm in Annapolis. Brian began his career in the office of former Senate Finance Committee Chairman Thomas "Mac" Middleton. In 2010, he served as the Chairman's campaign manager and led the Southern Maryland Democratic Coordinated Campaign.
Brian graduated from UMBC with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Public Policy with a concentration in health policy.
Brian serves as President of the Maryland Government Relations Association (MGRA), the state association of government affairs professionals in Annapolis. He is also President of the UMBC Alumni Association Board of Directors and has served as a member of the Maryland Nonprofits Policy Council for over a decade. He was recently appointed by the University System of Maryland Board of Regents as a member of the UMBC Presidential Search Committee.
